Blossom HR is recruiting Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys for a collaborative, remote-first California defense firm that is growing its team and has several openings. This position is 100% remote with no mandatory office days; attorneys work Pacific Time hours and must hold an active California Bar license.

You will handle workers' compensation defense cases from beginning to end, with real autonomy and partner oversight available whenever you want it. Experienced comp attorneys are welcome, and so are civil litigators who want to move into workers' compensation: the firm runs a comprehensive training program that teaches workers' comp from the ground up.

What you will do

  • Handle workers' compensation defense cases from initial setup through resolution and appeal
  • Value cases early and often, giving clients the option to settle or continue litigating
  • Collaborate with partners and fellow associates on case strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with adjusters and clients
  • Meet a monthly billable target of 220 hours, with significant bonus opportunity above that

Compensation

$125,000 to $300,000 base depending on experience, plus bonuses for billing above target and for generating new files.

Schedule and location

Full-time, 100% remote, working Pacific Time hours. An active California Bar license is required.

Hiring process

After an initial conversation with Blossom HR, qualified candidates have a single conversational interview with a firm partner and a colleague. Decisions are often made after this first interview.
