Blossom HR is recruiting a Venture Attorney for a boutique, full-service law firm with offices in Dallas and Austin, Texas that represents founders, emerging companies and venture investors. This is a hybrid role: in the office four days per week at the start, moving to three days per week.

You will have high ownership and direct access to equity partners from day one, supporting venture financings on both the company and investor side. The firm has a refreshingly low billable hours target of 1,350 per year and a people-first culture built on being a good human.

What you will do

Support venture transactions, including SAFE, convertible note and equity financings from seed through Series A and beyond
Draft and review documents for both company-side and investor-side deals
Draft entity formation, governance and organizational documents
Conduct due diligence and risk analysis on transactions
Work directly with clients and build long-term relationships
Support senior attorneys on day-to-day client matters and take on overflow work

Compensation and benefits

$130,000 to $175,000 base, plus competitive equity

Schedule and location

Full-time, hybrid in Dallas or Austin, TX. In the office four days per week initially, transitioning to three days per week.

Requirements

2 to 5 years of venture law experience, ideally at a firm with a real venture practice
Hands-on experience with SAFEs, convertible notes, Series Seed and NVCA financing documents
Admitted to the Texas State Bar (required)
Approximately 2 years of professional work experience between college and law school
Located in, or able to work from, Dallas or Austin, TX, in the office four days per week initially
Self-starter who can work independently, research and draft without heavy hand-holding
Experience drafting pro forma cap tables and financing models is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Compensation: $130,000 – $175,000 per year
